Activity: WUFO Job Fair

Participating Station Personnel: Sheila Brown, Sales Manager; Dwayne Cumberlander, Program Director; Lee Pettigrew, On-Air Personality; Bruce Dove, On-Air Personality/Music Director; Janaté Ingram, Promotions Director; and Doug Ruffin, On-Air Personality.
Description of Activity and Scope of Station Participation: Station WUFO hosted a Job Fair for employment opportunities and internship programs at Station WUFO. Other participants in the Fair were the local Unemployment and Training Center, Erie Community College, Buffalo State Troopers, Bryan & Stratton College, the United States Army, and the National Truck and Tractor School. The main purpose for WUGO in hosting the Fair was to educate the attendees about careers in broadcasting.

Description of Activity and Scope of Station Participation: The eighth grade class of the local Buffalo United Charter School toured Station WUFO. The station’s purpose in conducting the tour was to stimulate student interest in the field of broadcasting.
