Colton Dixon told to "Tone it down" on his Christian Faith

 

American Idol producer tells Colton Dixon to stop his Christian references if he really wants to win the American Idol competition. But did Dixon listen?
 
Last week Wednesday night live American idol television, Dixon not only ignored the  warning, but he made a huge statement in regard to his belief.
 
After Dixon's amazing performance if Billy Joel's “Piano Man”, Ryan Seacrest asked Dixon what he had thought about before doing such a great performance Wednesday night.
 
Dixon Stated, “I've been praying before this whole thing because tonight was a big moment for me, and I was just collecting myself and saying, 'God, use me.' I want him to shine through first and foremost.”
 
Colton's statement after American Idol producer previously warned Dixon not to use
Christian references was quite courageous. Do you believe he should continue using Christian references?

Whitney Houston to be honored at BET'S 2012 Celebration of Gospel Event

 

 

 

Another tribute will be paid to super star the late Whitney Houston at the 12th Annual Celebration of Gospel Event.

 

BET confirmed that they will be recognizing Houston who has a strong gospel background during the 2 hour special which will air for the first time on palm Sunday.

 

Comedian Steve Harvey will be hosting the  Celebration of Gospel Event, which will bring the powerful gospel artists for a night of inspiration.

 

Dynamic Gospel artists Yolanda Adams, Marvin Sapp, Fred Hammond, and Kirk Franklin and more will also hit the stage to perform on this special night in April.

 

The taping of the show will began on March 16th at the Orphuem Theater in Los Angeles, but the music special will premiere on air on April 1 at 8pm.

 

I will be tuning into this special because the late Whitney Houston touched a lot of individuals hearts and she set the bar for many R&B artists. I believe this show will be very interesting to watch.

 

I just hope that the artist that will be doing the tributes for her will sing the songs correctly because that will dissapointing to the fans if songs are out of sync....
